The rapid pace of social media has completely changed how companies respond to crises, making readiness and swift action critical to preserving reputation and trust. This thesis proves the importance of crisis management and image repair tactics through content analysis and by dialing into a real-world case study of a small business in Kenosha, WI: Rustic Road Brewing Company. Through an analysis of how small businesses might handle crises such as customer complaints, internal conflicts, and social media backlash, this study reveals practical ways to minimize crises despite fewer resources. It underlines the necessity of clear communication, proactive planning, and transparency to prevent minor problems from escalating. Ultimately, this study offers practical advice on how businesses can successfully handle crises while preserving their brand and encouraging customer loyalty.
