Incivility refers to disrespectful and unprofessional behavior that violates workplace norms and undermine a positive and productive environment. In the nursing context, workplace incivility and bullying remain pervasive challenges that significantly contribute to compassion fatigue, moral injury, and burnout. These systemic issues disrupt teamwork, reduce job satisfaction, and increase turnover rates, posing severe consequences for healthcare delivery and patient outcomes (Ahmadi, S., et al. 2024) A systematic literature review to better understand how to address these issues reveal that leadership built on accountability, zero-tolerance anti-bullying policies, ethics support systems, and mindfulness programs are critical in mitigating incivility in the workplace. These interventions not only improve nurse retention but also enhance patient care delivery by fostering resilience, self-compassion, and collaboration among nursing and intra-departmental staff. Cultivating civility is essential to address systemic stressors in nursing workplaces, thus creating a culture that prioritizes nurses' well-being and advances positive patient outcomes.
