This paper looks at the influence of Andy Warhol on graphic design and how he helped shape the field by mixing commercial art with fine art. Warhol is one of the most famous artists of the 20th century. He changed the design world by challenging the traditional lines between “high” art and “low” art, using bold colors, repeating images, and mass production. His working-class, immigrant background and love for popular culture shaped his creative style. Warhol’s unique use of silkscreen printing and mass-produced images questioned what it means for something to be original, and his partnerships with big brands like Campbell’s Soup and Coca-Cola showed how visuals can be powerful for branding. This paper explores Warhol’s growth from his start in commercial illustration to his famous work in The Factory, his New York City studio. It discusses his influences, artistic techniques, and lasting impact on visual culture, showing how his legacy still inspires today’s graphic design by blending art, advertising, and pop culture.
