Quick Pitch Competition: 12:30 p.m. –
6 p.m.
Free Competition | Pre-Registration Required | Cash Prizes Awarded | Limited to 80 participants

Why Quick Pitch

The WiSys Quick Pitch training and competition teaches student researchers to make their projects accessible for all audiences across disciplines by preparing and delivering 3-minute oral summaries of their research project and why it matters. The ability to talk about the impact of their research can spark collaborations and prepare students for graduate research and careers. We also know that public speaking can be intimidating, especially when doing it for the first time. That's why WiSys and UW-Eau Claire will provide hands-on training and support to NCUR attendees to hone their communication skills. WiSys will provide an on-line training session for participants who are selected.

Students will compete in the WiSys Quick Pitch Competition on April 12. Following the competition, winners will be announced, and cash prizes totaling $4,000 will be awarded to five first or second place winners in the various categories. Winners will also open for the three distributed keynote speakers on Friday morning during the conference where they will deliver their winning 3-minute Quick Pitch.

The NCUR Quick Pitch team thanks WiSys for their support and sponsorship of this event.
